The sophisticated solution for coarse and fine material retention at stormwater overflow structures. The HSR high-performance screen is a horizontal bar screen with automatic cleaning device. It is regularly used as an effective measure for active water protection at overflows/reliefs of combined sewer systems and in the inlet of soil filters.

Details
When water flows through the HSR screen, floating and suspended solids are retained by the screen surface. The screen surface consists of screen bars arranged parallel to each other. Several cleaning trolleys, which are equipped with screen rakes, clean the screen surface in clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation. Cleaning takes place before and between the bars. The screenings are discharged to a low-flow zone upstream and remain in the inlet. The cleaning unit is driven electro-hydraulically with a hydraulic cylinder.
If the screen is additionally equipped with a moving device, the screen is automatically moved out of the relief cross-section when it is installed (optional version).
