GSK weir
Weight-controlled damper flap weir
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The GSK weir is the cost-effective variant for holding backwater targets without backwater, volume activation and structure reduction. In addition to regulating the backwater target, GSK weirs enable backwater / flood protection of spillway structures. With FSK weirs, the weights are replaced by spring cylinders and there is no need for superstructures and cables.

Your advantages
- Good stowage target position due to individual control disk and low mass torques
- Cost-effective due to modular production
- Option: Flood version sealing on all sides (4-fold)
- Simple retrofitting
Applications
- Stormwater tanks / sewer storage areas
- Rainwater overflows
- Separating structures

FSK weir
The spring damper (FSK weir) works without additional external energy. The lowering and raising of the weir is controlled by the water pressure in front of the weir and the spring damper elements arranged behind the flap as a counterforce.
The weir consists of a flap body made of stainless steel or GRP. The flap body is designed as a hollow body construction and is therefore very resistant to torsion and bending.
GSK weir
If the target water level is exceeded, the GSK weir is automatically lowered by the water pressure and the excess water is released. If the water level drops again, the GSK weir is raised again accordingly. A counterforce proportional to the respective water pressure is generated via a control disk with counterweight, which controls the lowering and raising of the weighted weir flap.
The flap is opened and closed purely mechanically, without additional external energy, by the water pressure acting on the flap or by the counterweights.
The weights are connected to the flap via a steel cable. A combined control disk ensures an adapted, variable counterweight force for different water pressures and opening angles of the flap.
The steel cable is guided by one or more polyamide cable deflection pulleys with bronze bearing bushes and stainless steel cable pulley brackets. The GSK weir is hinged to the concrete sleeper with stainless steel bearings. Lateral rubber profiles seal the flap against the building walls or sliding plates.
GSK weirs can also be used for backflow protection at an opening that seals on four sides.
