If, after a heavy rainfall, runoff occurs that exceeds the capacity of the downstream wastewater treatment plant, the basins and storage sewers fill up with the wastewater. During the back-up, the water comes to rest and pollutants sink to the bottom. As there are usually no high flow velocities during emptying, the deposits remain at the bottom of the basin. These dirt deposits reduce the storage space, form unpleasant odors, contain germs that are hazardous to health and attack the concrete of the structures. As a rule, regular cleaning of the facilities cannot be avoided. By using the AWS vacuum flushing system, pool cleaning can be carried out automatically and fully automatically.

The AWS vacuum flushing system consists of individual system components. This makes it easy to assemble or disassemble the system, replace individual wearing parts and carry out maintenance and service work.
