AWS flushing tilt

Automatic flushing tipping bucket. The low operating cost solution for cleaning rainwater tanks.
AWS-Kippe_gross_Rev2

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The external energy-free and low operating cost solution for surge cleaning of stormwater tanks. After a rain and backwater event, heavy soiling or deposits remain on the bottom of stormwater tanks. With AWS flushing tipping buckets installed outside the medium (rainwater, wastewater, etc.), these deposits can be removed extremely effectively and without external energy using a flushing surge. Waste water is preferably used as an environmentally friendly flushing medium. Due to their shape and bearings, AWS flushing tipping buckets have ideal tilting and torque characteristics. The shape of the AWS flushing tipping bucket, designed on the basis of FEM models, is also characterized by optimum material utilization with a low dead weight and is overall the most modern design on the European market. AWS flushing taps are manufactured in a modular system from 200-2600 l/m with individual lengths of up to 12 m and are supplied and installed with brackets for front-side ceilings or surface mounting. A dimensioning diagram or our planning service is available for dimensioning purposes

Advantages

  • Reliable and 1000 times proven cleaning method
  • Very low energy consumption (approx. 0.3 kWh per tilt per damming event and flushing process)
  • Feeding with waste and mixed water, rainwater, process water
  • High cleaning performance due to ideal tilting and pouring behavior
  • Low occupational safety requirements, as maintenance does not take place in the stormwater tank
  • Low-noise tilting process, no mechanical noise
  • Low dead weight thanks to optimum design and material utilization
  • Tipping bucket and bearing material made of stainless steel, therefore corrosion-resistant
  • Low health and safety requirements, as maintenance does not take place in the stormwater tank
  • TÜV type tested
  • Ideal torque and tension curve, resulting in minimal loads, optimum utilization of the construction and no mechanical noise
  • Finely graduated series from 200 l/m to 2000 l/m
  • Exceptionally flexible bearings made entirely from cast stainless steel
  • Lengths up to 10 m

Your advantages

  • Proven safe cleaning method for rectangular stormwater tanks with modern, efficient design. AWS tilts provide a compact, effective flushing surge for cleaning the basin floors of dirt and deposits/sediments
  • Comprehensive range of sizes and installation programs to cover a wide variety of requirements for flushing lengths and widths, arrangement and fastenings, flushing water feed and operational monitoring
  • Low energy requirement and consumption for filling/feeding the flushing taps with flushing water, utilization of the potential layer control enables a low volume of flushing water
  • Feeding of the flushing tipping buckets with waste water and mixed water as flushing medium via submersible waste water pump with approx. 3 KW installed in the tank
  • Very good, compact, powerful flushing surge thanks to the shape of the flushing tilt and optimum tilt, rotation and discharge behavior, especially when the recommended tank end wall radii are used in the design
  • Arrangement above the accumulation target/accumulation area improves cleaning and maintenance requirements for the structure. Visual inspections possible via gratings or manhole covers.
  • No impairing mechanical noise and low building and construction loads due to tilting and turning moment progression with low restoring torque. Therefore, only small restoring buffers are required.
  • Very good material utilization and low dead weight thanks to modern design based on FEM models.
  • Design, materials and bearings for safe, durable and low-maintenance operation, even in the event of backwater/overflow/uplift and frost
  • Safety through certification, type testing and QA system, TÜV-approved design HST is a certified welding company

Special features

  • Very good compact flushing surge due to tilting and torque behavior, no noticeable mechanical noise and low loads on the mounting structure and building, thus long service life
  • Use of stainless steel investment casting and capsule housings for bearing equipment
  • Hollow shaft coupling for coupling several AWS flushing taps for simultaneous and effective flushing of several flushing lanes
  • Automatic function monitoring via sensor scaffolding kit
  • Individual torque test certificate
  • very good flushing surge due to tilting and torque behavior, no mechanical noise low loads on the mounting structure and building, thus long service life
  • Hollow shaft coupling for coupling several AWS flushing taps for simultaneous and effective flushing of several flushing lanes
  • Automatic function monitoring via sensor scaffolding kit
  • Minimal maintenance required due to arrangement outside of the dust collection area and use of encapsulated stainless steel bearings

Functional features

  • Generation of a powerful compact water surge
  • Automatic tilting after filling without unlocking
  • Automatic quiet reset to the home position for the next rinse cycle
  • Rinsing water including soiling is collected in a sufficiently dimensioned pump sump
  • The rinsing process must be repeated in the event of extreme soiling.

Areas of application

  • Stormwater basins, reservoirs or sedimentation basins with temporary impoundment
  • Basically suitable for every type of pool (exception: round pools)
  • Flushing distances of up to 70 m possible, depending on the general conditions (design of the basin floor with longitudinal and transverse gradient, roughness of fixtures, discharge height and flushing volume)
  • Mounting and installation outside the medium, attachment to or on side walls, on end walls under building ceilings
  • Single rinsing lanes up to 70 m long and 12 m wide
  • Additional requirements can be met by special designs.
