ASA weir

XXL concrete core lifting weir
ASA-Wehr_120420_gross

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

ASA weirs – also known as reinforced concrete lifting weirs – are primarily used as cascade damming, flushing and relief weirs. They activate storage volumes, generate surges and sinks for sewer cleaning and provide a variable overflow edge at separating structures and spillways. Technically, the ASA weirs are hydraulically driven pressure-tight slide gates in XXL format manufactured to the highest precision.

The force-guided vacuumized weir plate with its lateral bars enables rapid movement until it can be fully lowered into the floor.

The lifting weir is used for the automatic control and regulation of upstream water levels.

Details

The general task of ASA lift weirs is to activate retention volumes in channels. The automation of the weir distinguishes between the two events of dry weather and rainy weather operation. When the maximum water level, measured from the lowest position of the ASA lifting weir, is reached, the weir system acts as a target dam controller. In this operating mode, a pre-defined reservoir target is maintained. It is possible to release the flow cross-section at any time to ensure the maximum discharge capacity. After possible backwater events, flushing waves can be generated to clean the channel bed in the underwater area of the weir system.
